ANZAC Poster Success!

Wow, I am having a super proud teacher moment!
Our whole class created ANZAC posters to show how the ANZAC spirit is present in life nowadays. I have just heard back from the New Zealand Defence Force and two girls from our class received runner up in their category and have special commemorative coins coming in the post for their efforts!
Well done girls, we are all so happy for you!

How high is that tree?

We did some interesting maths in Room 4 yesterday. Did you know that you can measure the height of a tree without actually climbing to the top of it?

How much does Miss Morrell's horse weigh?

While Miss Morrell was at Nationals last week, two of her horses got weighed. Today we got to guess their weights. Our guesses ranged from 51kg (which Miss Morrell pointed out was less than herself) to 1000kg. Eloise and Danielle had the closest guesses.
Mickey weighs 544kg
Cookie weighs 532kg

Here are some pictures of some of our maths groups learning how to decode a coded hundreds board! It was hard at the start but once we got it, it was easy!
